DESCRIPTION : Here is a pair of uncommon Royal Bayreuth porcelain candle holders in the form of seated foxes looking in opposite directions. Both hand painted with red hunting jackets on, a white shirt and a white bowtie. Each marked to the base with green back stamp “Registration Applied For” Rd No 726518. The taller fox has incised shape number 12464 the slightly smaller fox has incised shape number 11876, perhaps one is male and the other female hence the different shape numbers. Made in circa 1930. SIZE : Taller fox candle holder measures 6 1/4 inches high and the slightly smaller one measures 6 inches high. CONDITION : The taller fox is in good condition, no chips, cracks, restoration or ware. The slightly smaller fox has two small pieces of ware to the back of the red jacket a in picture 6.
